We did dinner here on a Sunday night. It was actually nice and slow. Astros were getting spanked by Yankees(hate Yankees) I am giving it 5 starts as it hit all expectations 100%. Margaritas food and dessert. They bake sopapillas now. I don't know how to spell team and not looking it up. They were good but sad they were not fried! What is this world coming to!
Wife and daughter are a bit bougie so they had lobster enchiladas and tacos. They don't skimp on the lobster.
All the parking is valet in this lot which prob makes sense when it busy around this area. -

WOW. I went to the old Cyclone's in the 80's, and the new restaurant is not the same. That aside, there were some things I couldn't overlook. Just an overall disastrous evening. I feel we should have asked for the manager, but we just wanted out of there, asap.
**There were lots of empty tables. They weren't busy so there is no excuse for what I have written below.
First, it took about 10-15 minutes to get chips & salsa, and we had to ask our waitress for them.
Second, I asked for no salt on my drink rim, I received salt. Not the end of the world but dang, if this was the only thing I would overlook leaving this review.
Third, after sitting for 20 minutes, I found we have no silverware. Rather than ask for yet another thing that is expected, I just got up and grabbed some off of another empty table.
Fourth, the waitress didn't know the menu, and didn't have my husband's order right. But after she asked a question that wasn't necessary if she had it right, it was straightened out. She did admit that she had been there for about a week, so I can let that slide a bit.
Fifth, the crab enchiladas were so incredibly salty, and general unappetizing, they were just not was I expecting.
Sixth, my husband's fish tacos were disgusting. He said he'd had better tacos from a strip center Tex mex joint.
SEVENTH, the waitress asked us if we wanted separate checks, while we were both wearing wedding bands that were EXACTLY the same on our ring fingers. She needs to be more observant of her guests. I've never been asked this question unless I was with a group of women, or several couples.
Won't be back, even if we get a free gift card. So disappointed that I won't even eat my leftovers. They've gone into the trash. Complete waste of time and money.
Going to Hugo's, Xochi, or El Tiempo next time. We've never been disappointed there! -

Love the family atmosphere at this particular location.
My family and I really enjoyed the live music playing by Dj Jesus he pleased my kids with some songs they ask for him to play. My food was fresh and service was great. Also the manager on duty Mohammad took time to check on us and to see how was the service. Will definitely be back especially cause is close to our church -

I've been a long time patron of Cyclone's. I have had their breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. I love love LOVE their ceviche and crab nachos. But the one star I took away is for the way these prices are getting out of control. Only one margarita for HH now. I used to love coming for a sangria swirl...no longer on HH. Just a regular degular marg, frozen or on the rocks. Boringgggg. Also the crab nachos are $20 for a half order or a full for $25. Again...why? Other than inflation, Cyclones is still my jam.
